WebPosition Gold, Part 2

If META tags don't really help, what does?
The first thing that WebPosition Gold does is to create what FirstPlace Software calls a "doorway page" to your site, based on your chosen keywords and details about the content of your site which you provide. This "seeds" your pages so that the search engines will find what you want them to find, helping you to get that most coveted top position. Creating the doorway pages is as simple as selecting the pages you wish to seed and filling in a few blanks using a wizard-like utility (See Figure 1).

WebPosition Gold critiques each of your pages, and provides you with advice on how you can improve it to rank higher in the major search engines. The tool already knows all the "tricks" of the individual search engines, and it provides you with all the tactics you can use without breaking the rules of each search engine. Page Critic also includes a built-in editor for making changes to your pages in accordance to the tricks presented to you by the Critic.
Quick tip: choose your keywords carefully, and if possible, use two- or three-word phrases instead of single words, as they narrow the focus of people searching for concepts and help bring them to your site. For instance, there are lots of sites which provide "travel" info, but few that provide information on "travel in spacecraft."
