If it's designed specifically for the Web, why can't it preview GIFs or JPGs?
Rhetorical and existential questions aside, Macromedia is certainly one of the leading, most innovative and aggressive graphics software companies around, so when they introduce a graphics product designed for Web designers...well, we've got to take a close look, don't we?

Windows 95 or NT 4.0:
- Pentium 120 or faster processor (Pentium 166 MMX recommended)
- 32 MB of RAM (more recommended)
- 60 MB available hard-disk space for installation (100 MB free recommended)
- 640x480, 256 colors on screen (1024x768, millions of colors recommended)
Macintosh:
- Power Macintosh CPU (604/120 or greater, 603/180 or greater, or G3 750 processor recommended)
- MacOS 7.5.5 minimum
- 24 MB of free RAM with virtual memory on (more than 32 MB of RAM with virtual memory off recommended)
- 60 MB available hard-disk space for installation (100 MB free recommended)
